Senior Software Engineer
Andrew Goldman
Andrew joined Degel at the start of 2004, and has played a number of key
roles, including lead programmer on Degel's components of Mobility's
QuickOffice Suite for Series 60. Most recently he served as the lead
for the development of Talk Now for Series 60, released in the summer of 2005 by
Orange France and Orange UK.
His prior experience:

Co-founded Alchemedia, an enterprise software company focused on
collaboration and security. There, he managed an R & D team of 30 people
in two countries that was responsible for product delivery to the sales
organisation. Initiated many standard software engineering practises.

Held the position of Senior Software engineer at News Digital Systems
responsible for architecting and developing the smart card production
and control system. The work included user interviews, capturing
requirements and leading a team of five engineers.

Worked as a consultant for Price Waterhouse Consulting. Was part of a
development team responsible for delivering database systems to a large
UK clearing bank. Responsibilities included team leading,
design/analysis and liaising with customers on requirements and product
acceptance.
Andrew graduated with an MEng in Software Engineering from Imperial College, London in 1990. His masters
research focused on applying artificial intelligence to image processing.
